Makeup ideas for party makeovers for 12 year olds?

I am planning a party for my boyfriends niece who is turning 12 her and her friends are comming over at 5 to get their hair and makeup done oh and nails but thats covered and my friend who went to school for cosmotology might be able to make it.. but I am not sure how to go about it. I am bring makeup with makeup sponges and Qtips so that we are not using the same brushes on each girl but How should you do a 12 year olds makeup? I know how to do mine but I wear like brown or I do the smoky eye look on me but I think that would be inaproprate for a young girl... but what should we do like glittery colors? Tinted lip glosses? Or should we do it a little more glamorous since it is just for a party and for fun? Also on the hair I was going to bring curling iron, straitener, crimper, hair spray hair tyes, hair bands, but should I have some looks in mind to do or just have the girls come up with their own ideas? I will have magazines for them to look in for ideas but should I also print pics

Well...there are two ways you could do it. First, since they're only 12...you could teach them the proper way to apply makeup (foundation, eyeshadow, etc.) so they don't look like baby prostitutes (aka...no smoky eyes). Second, you could go way out...and teach them fun stuff like false eyelashes, glitter, and all that fun.

ok.. well coming for a twelve year olds point of view, cuz i am twelve, we don't like glittery make up anymore. maybe bright colors, neutral colors, or even the smoky eye look is what we are into. mascara and eye-liner is a must. but please... lay low on the sparkles. tinted lip gloss would be fine. and for the hair, you should let them come up with their own ideas, we 12 year-olds can be pretty creative you know. anyway... hope the party is a hit!!!

Set the makeup and magazine's on a table and and let the girl's do the makeup by themselves and they have to dress up as a celebrity and they have to guess which celebrity everyone is.And have all fun games with makeup and a bit later at might have a mini disco at your house.

Well, since they are only 12 and it is just a party......

My advice is to just let them choose what they want(unless they ask you) and you guys should just do it, within reason. I mean if they want the smokey eye look then it doesn't really matter if it is just for fun. I mean every girl is different....some might want makeup that actually looks good and mature, but some might want to just have fun with the glitter! So I think you should just let them have fun and go crazy! It's not like your gonna let them walk out of the house if they look too old or something....right??? Just let 12 year olds be 12 year olds!
