because you know the fans will eat up whatever crap is on MTV. its just like hair metal. once the "Emo" bands are gone, we get a new fad. since this stuff's already going downhill, i think about this time next year we'll have a new fad. and it will be terrible.

Yep - it's useless. Stuff goes away on its own, because it's crap (well, sometimes good stuff goes away - and then comes back).

They called rap crap, and whether you think it is or not, it's still around. Didn't help to burn the Beatles albums back in the day, or the Dixie Chicks CDs recently; protesting against music is like farting against war.

Yes, and why would you bother anyway? Kids are gonna like what kids are going to like. Do you think you will change their minds? Trust me, unless typing until your fingers are about to fall off is worth it if one fan gets curious and grabs a Zep cd then it's probably not worth it. Especially on the internet. If you know any of these people get them a cd as a gift and see if it ends up grabbing them, but would you go buy a cd if someone railed on and on about how your music sucks and you have to turn in your Beatles card and get with the times? You'd probably just resent it.

Yeah it is pretty much useless. I think whats happening right now is that bands are gettting "heavier" aka singing like actual males so there might be a grunge revival (look at all the early 90s bands getting back together!) Honestly I love old grunge but not any of this new stuff like Smashing Pumpkins new album. But yeah all the emo bands are dying I don't think there has ever been a genre hated so much by music loves set aside disco.

its like...at least 10 people at my school cut themselves because it was the cool thing to do. and its not even the cool thing to do, cause why the ***** is potentially be killing yourself cool? ugh. and yes i agree, there will be a new fad next year. it will be really bad. maybe removing a limb will be the cool thing to do.

That depends on what your mindset is. If your goal is to change the world, than yes it is fruitless. Kids are stubborn and are desperate to "fit in" and do as their peers do. However if your mission is to combat the non-stop barrage of endless MCR love and idiotic questions, I see nothing at all wrong with bashing this very deserving band. So long as you battle with wit and wisdom on your side and don't take it to heart, it's all in good fun. Remember, 99% will ignore you but if you can enlighten less than one percent, mission accomplished.
