What is the name of that 60s hairstyle that all the girls are wearing?

It's for short hair. You basically just wear a head band with your hair back, but the twist comes with the hair in the back, looking taller than the hair in the front. It looks like if you have a nice bubble of hair behind your head band but it looks really nice. I need instructions on how to do it, with a web site to check and make sure it's the one. Thanks everyone.

It's basically a bouffant, below is a picture, though not a good one... And, the link after that is a how-to...

I think you're talking about a bouffant, although I couldn't tell you how to do it. You would probably have to tease the hair underneath and apply lots of hairspray, then smooth the hair on top.

You just need to back comb your hair to give it that "lift", and lots of hairspray.

wash and set your hair in pretty large rollers. when it's dry, spray it lightly with hairspray. you could also use a bit of aerosol hair powder (bumble and bumble makes a fantastic one that comes in many colors) and tease, tease, tease the bejeezus out of your hair. you'll need a ton of bobby pins, and some patience. gather all the hair at the nape of the neck if you can and begin to twist the hair upward. pin it in place, comb over the top to keep it smooth.

good luck!
